My wife and I bought a pair of AVE eBikes last week and, while it’s still early days, we love them!

According to their web site, AVE is the first Australian made, German engineered eBike. It has a 3 year warranty of the electronics and 10 years on the bike itself, which is seems to be longer than what most others offer. It also comes with Bosch’s Performance CX engine and 500W battery.

We have done around 60km on it, mostly around town and across a few grassy parks and so far we are loving it!

The performance is amazing and the handling is very solid.

The longer plan is to do overnight rides following rail trails and extending this to a week long ride, mostly staying at B&B’s. And in the second half of next year we want to do a 1,400km tour in Europe using these bikes.

So buying these bikes is definitely having a hugely positive impact on our lifestyle.
